Team Teach is an accredited, award-winning provider of positive behavioural management training suitable for use in a wide variety of education settings. Our positive behaviour management strategies have been developed in real schools and residential settings over 20 years. They equip teams and individuals with the tools they need to transform challenging behaviours into positive outcomes in the classroom and beyond, while reducing risk and the need for physical intervention.
All our courses are delivered by experienced, knowledgeable trainers. They carefully consider the training needs of participants to ensure they can confidently put positive behaviour management strategies into action in their school.
We value the responsibility of teachers and support staff and the dignity of children. We aim to foster cultures of support, helping people recognise the needs of their colleagues in education, offer help where necessary, and be able to make use of support when offered.
While our courses focus on de-escalation and communication strategies for dealing with challenging behaviour without physical intervention, they also cover positive handling training for schools and other education settings which minimise restraint and intrusive intervention.
A 6-hour course in positive behaviour management strategies for low-risk education settings like nurseries, primary schools and mainstream secondary schools.
A 12-hour course exploring a greater range of positive handling techniques, suitable for medium-risk education settings such as SEND schools and PRUs.
Our advanced modules teach a range of risk-reduction, positive-handling and intervention strategies for responding to extreme dangerous behaviour in high-risk education settings.
Two levels of instructor courses equip individuals with the tools and confidence they need to lead on and assist positive behaviour management training in their organisation.
A three-hour course designed for parents and carers to learn positive behaviour strategies to maintain healthy and happy relationships with their children at home.
Our digital learning Mental Fitness course promotes self-awareness and self-reflection equipping teachers, support staff, children and young people to deal with mental health issues through positive behaviour techniques.
The course was excellent. The two facilitators were truly excellent and, along with imparting the knowledge we needed for the course, the style it was delivered in was perfect. We of course would like to train up more of our staff.
Paul McGrath, Deputy Head Teacher, St Thomas CE Primary School, Oldham
We wanted to enable our school to have wider staff who have the knowledge and training to deal with situations in the appropriate manner. We found Team Teach Level One via a Google search, which had the availability we needed.
By completing this course more staff are now aware of their responsibilities and actions towards children who may need attention. The confidence of staff in dealing with such situations has also increased.
It was a good quality course incorporating the situations that are relevant to our own school and children. We liked the honesty of the trainer and how she was able to link it to our school and needs.
Our school has benefitted from giving our staff the confidence, knowledge and understanding of behaviour.
We would be happy to recommend this course, from the booking procedure to the training day, the knowledge and understanding of the trainer to how much all the staff attending gained from the training. It was a smooth process and informative for all who attended, even those who had previous knowledge and training.
