Team Teach provides accredited, award-winning positive behavioural management training. Our transformational strategies for communication, de-escalation and positive handling empower those working throughout adult services to deal with challenging behaviour safely and confidently.
Our training equips individuals and teams in social work and residential care with a diversity of tools for understanding and managing challenging behaviour in adults, reducing the need for physical restraint, minimising conflict, and maintaining positive relationships.
We are market leaders, with over 20 years’ experience developing positive behaviour management strategies. All our training is tailored to your needs and discussed with you before implementation, so that you can start putting practical strategies to use in your service setting immediately.
Our training equips staff with an understanding of challenging behaviour, and a wide range of skills to manage aggression, conflict and crisis. This allows them to feel safer and more confident at work, and helps foster a supportive, respectful culture among colleagues.
Team Teach training is based on respect. Physical restraint is understood only as a last resort, with de-escalation and communication strategies prioritised. Our approach aims to reduce the need for invasive physical restraint. This reduces the risk of injury and distress throughout the working environment, and helps promote positive relationships.
Our courses provide highly-valuable positive behaviour management strategies for staff working throughout the adult services sector, but to ensure that the training is specific and useful for your workplace, we tailor the content and delivery of every course in consultation with you.
A 6-hour course in positive behaviour management strategies for low-risk adults services settings ideal for residential homes and supported accommodation.
A 12-hour course exploring a greater range of positive handling techniques, suitable for medium-risk adult services settings such as residential homes and supported accommodation.
Our advanced modules teach a range of risk-reduction, positive-handling and intervention strategies for responding to extreme dangerous behaviour in high-risk adult services settings.
Two levels of instructor courses equip individuals with the tools and confidence they need to lead on and assist positive behaviour management training in their organisation.
I've received really positive feedback from the colleagues I've had a chance to talk to about the training. Also, the interest shown in the trainers’ course has been extremely encouraging, which I think speaks volumes about people’s experiences across the two days. I look forward to the possibility of working with you again in the near future.

We’d undertaken Team Teach training before and knew it’s benefits. We needed to bring our staff team up to speed on Team Teach techniques, so that they were better equipped to deal with challenging behaviour.
The training addressed our objectives well - staff feel more confident and workers in charge can lead by example. The Level One course provided a good mix of legislation and holding techniques.
Holding has reduced because staff have used more diversion techniques, staff confidence has increased and there’s a better understanding between team members.
I’d recommend this course because it gives staff a grounding and confidence to be better placed to deal with behaviour that challenges.
