Team Teach‘s award-winning positive behaviour management training equips those working in a wide variety of education, health care and adult service settings to deal with challenging behaviour safely and confidently. Developed over 20 years, our tailored courses, delivered by experienced, knowledgeable trainers, are available throughout Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean, S. America, SE Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Providing a diversity of tools for understanding and managing challenging behaviour in mainstream and special needs settings, our training reduces the need for physical restraint, minimises conflict, and helps maintain positive relationships. Our courses are tailored to your needs so that you can immediately start putting practical strategies to use in your organisation.
Our trainers carefully consider the needs of course participants to ensure they can confidently put positive behaviour management strategies into action in their organisation. Our courses are suitable for a wide variety of settings, including schools for children with complex needs, autism and mental health needs, services working with adults with learning disabilities, and organisations for the deaf and hard of hearing.
We value the responsibility of those we instruct and the dignity of the service users they work with. We aim to foster cultures of support, helping people recognise the needs of their colleagues, offer help where necessary, and be able to make use of support when offered. Our training has helped transform ways of working in schools, hospitals, residential care homes, rehabilitation centres, parent run organisations and beyond.
While our courses focus on de-escalation and communication strategies for dealing with challenging behaviour without physical intervention, they also cover positive handling training for schools and other education settings which minimise restraint and intrusive intervention. Our framework is compatible with Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) approaches.
We had the great pleasure to join the Team Teach course in our Rehabilitation Center in Catania, Italy. It was so useful knowing how to handle aggressive behaviours; this kind of knowledge enables us to react without instinctive behaviours that could be dangerous not only for us but for the children too.

Team Teach is an innovative professional experience that combines cutting-edge risk reduction techniques with other methods that become necessary to preserve the safety of both therapist and user. We are convinced that everyone who works in direct contact with people with autism should be introduced to such techniques.

As a school, we chose the Level One training with Team Teach due to the company's excellent reputation and positive previous experiences. Quality CPD on de-escalation was a school priority and the training delivered this and more. The trainer was excellent and delivered the training in an interactive style and was keen to tailor training to the school context. If you are looking for training on de-escalation, deepening understanding on behaviour management and knowing how to hold and guide children safely (should that ever be required) then this training is perfect. We certainly plan on bringing Team Teach back to train even more staff.
