The Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 have been laid in Parliament. Along with this, the Guide to the Children’s Homes Regulations including the Quality Standards, and the DfE consultation response report has been published on their website.
The Regulations and accompanying Guide aim to:
- ensure that children’s homes provide high quality care, set high aspirations for children and enable them to achieve their full potential, as the best homes already are; and
- support innovation in the sector, enabling skilled professionals to use their judgement to provide care that meets each child’s individual needs.
The regulations will come in force on 1 April 2015.
